Route description

Starting at Olympia Skistadion, hike towards the hospital, further passing the swimming pool Kainzenbad and along the street Kainzenbadstraße. Afterwards, follow the signs to Wamberg.

Once you've reached Wamberg, just stay on that road, past St. Anna until you reach the town center. Continue right at the first turn and hike over the mountain saddle Wamberger Sattel. Take the trail first to Elmau, then turn right and walk until Hintergraseck, past Mittergraseck and further towards Vordergraseck.

Afterwards follow the signs to Partnachklamm gorge.

From Vordergraseck, walk south until Partnachklamm. Then follow the the river Partnach through the gorge until you reache the hut Lenzhütte, which is located at the entrance of the gorge. Afterwards, start your way back to Olympia Skistadion.

Getting here

By car

Take motorway A95 until Eschelohe and continue on B2 until Garmisch- Partenkirchen. After the tunnel, drive into the district Partenkirchen. Stay on the main road and leave the town towards Olympia Skistadion.

Starting in Mittenwald, take B2 until Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Then take the first turn to the left and follow the signs towards Olympia Skistadion.

Drive until Garmisch-Partenkirchen on B23. At the second traffic light turn right into the street Gernackerstraße and stay on it. At the crossways (Rathauskreuzung) turn right, stay on that road and follow the signs until Olympia Skistadion.

Start at Olympia Skistadion. Parking available for a fee.
