The Partnachklamm near Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a spectacular natural spectacle. It was declared a natural monument in 1912. Waterfalls, rapids and gullies fascinate numerous tourists and inhabitants.

Two walkable paths

The Partnach is accessible via two safe paths. You have to be free of vertigo for one of them, though. But then it offers you breathtaking views from a height of 70 metres. The easier way is directly by the water and used to be used by woodworkers, foresters and hunters. The roaring water is very close here.

Torch-lit hike

Especially in winter you have the opportunity to marvel at the gorge on a torchlight hike. You will return enchanted by this impressive experience.

Good footwear is always required in the gorge!

How to get there

From the parking lot at the Olympia ski stadium you only have to walk 25 minutes. You can also take the horse-drawn carriage, which takes you directly to the Partnachklamm.
