Flachau Centre - towards Hammerrain, left past the church - via highway overhead noise barrier to start of 'Weg der guten Wünsche' at path Nr. 32 on to mountain restaurant Sattelbauer - carry on path Nr. 73 towards Pertillbauer - Winterbauer - return to valley on path Nr. 31 - cross highway bridge, then left on meadow way - path Nr. 1 - along river Enns back to centre Flachau
Where to eat
You have two possibility for your lunch, Berggasthof Sattelbauer and Berggasthof Winterbauer.
The Sattelbauer you reach on your way up to the mountain and the Winterbauer on your way down.
Interesting facts
- You're traveling a distance of 11 km on this moderate trail. Average length of all hikes in Salzburg is 15 km.
- You're facing an uphill climb of 508 vertical meters on this hike. The highest point of the track is 1,288 m above sea level.
- Don’t hesitate to take your kids along on this moderate hikes. The hike is also perfect if the kid’s wanna bring their dog on the trip. (See all dog friendly hikes in Salzburg.)
- Make sure to bring sturdy footwear on this track. Hiking boots are highly recommended. If you get hungry along the way, there are places to rest and get food. Nevertheless it’s recommended to also have enough water and food in your backpack when hiking or biking.

The beautiful circular walk connects the two mountain restaurants Sattelbauer and Winterbauer. Furthermore you can enjoy at a snack the magnificant view.
Equipment
Most of the way is an asphalt or gravel road. Anyway sturdy shoes are beneficial. If you want, you can take a pair of hiking sticks with you.
Getting here
by car
You can reach Flachau easily via the A10 Tauern motorway (exit 66) - from Salzburg. At the exit follow the sights in direction to the center.
by Public transport:
With the Sportwelt- bus to Flachau "Ortsmitte"
return journey: possibility with Sportwelt-bus from Flachau "Garnhof"
