Route description
The hike goes through forest and meadows to the beautiful alp region of Lackenkogel. The Lackenkogel offers a fantastic view over the valley of the Enns.
"Berggasthof Sattelbauer" - path Nr. 73 - along the track or the forest road to the Lackenalmen - follow the track to the peak of Lackenkogel (2051m) - return the same way
Where to eat
At the start and final point of the trip you get refreshments at different huts. The Sattelbauer invites you for a snack or more. On the way you can make a break at the huts Lackenalmen (Göttfriedhütte and Hinterkuchlberghütte).
Interesting facts
- You're traveling a distance of 4 km on this moderate trail. The hike is therefore not too long. The average length of all hikes in Salzburg is 15 km.
- You're facing an uphill climb of 741 vertical meters on this hike. The hike takes you to an elevation of 2,021 m.

- You shouldn’t forget to bring your hiking boots. There are some sections on the trail where sturdy footwear is required. There are places to buy beverages and food along the track. However it’s always recommended to bring enough water and food along with you.

Highlights of the tour
The highlight of this tour is the paradise of the moutain alps at the "Lackenalmen". In addition the peak Lackenkogel provide a beautiful summit experience with a magnificint panorama.

Who don't wants to hike to the peak of Lackekogel can make a stop at the beautiful "Lackenalmen" (alpine huts).
Equipment
You should definitely wear trekking or mountain boots. At the last third of the tour step security is required.
Getting here
by car
You can reach Flachau easily via the A10 Tauern motorway (exit 66). Flachau center - "Am Hammerrain" - pass the church on the left side up to "Berggasthof Sattelbauer"
by public transport
With the "Sportwelt-Bus" you get to the bus-stop "Flachau Ortsmitte" and then to "Berggasthof Sattelbauer" by taxi (chargeable)
