Hiking, nature and culture! Cool off at the swimming lake in Reitdorf.
Flachau Centre - towards ski valley station "starjet 1" - Unterhof - path No. 3 - pass Flachauer Gutshof to Lucky Flitzer - further to the roundabout - take left side in direction to Wagrain - at the Schnellsäge right side - path No. 2 - Schloss Höch - lake Reitdorf - back on the same way or with the Sportwelt-bus from Reitdorf "Gemeindeamt/Badesee"
Where to eat
On the route you have different different possibilities for a comfortable stop. At first you come along the Flachauer Gutshof. Directly at the summer toboggan run is the Rodelalm. At the final point there is a snack-bar at the lake in Reitdorf. Here you can recompense yourself with an ice cream and jump into the cool water.
Interesting facts
- You're traveling a distance of 7 km on this easy trail. The hike is therefore not too long. Average length of all hikes in Salzburg is 15 km.
- You're facing an uphill climb of 133 vertical meters on this hike. The track is therefore relatively flat. The high point of the hike is located at an elevation of 972 m.

- Hiking boots are not required, but the hike might be more enjoyable with sturdy footwear (especially in wet conditions). If you get hungry along the way, there are places to rest and get food. Nevertheless it’s recommended to also have enough water and food in your backpack when hiking or biking.

Highlights of the tour
Along the way some highlights awaits you. The 800 year old castle "Höch" will impress art and cultural enthusiast. Children will have fun at the alpin coaster "Lucky Flitzer" and at the end of the hike you have a swimming possibility at the lake Reitdorf.

For this small walking tour you do not need special equipment. But if you want to jump in the lake for swimming or flounder in the water you need swimming things.

You can reach Flachau easily via the A10 Tauern motorway (exit 66).
by public transport
With the "Sportwelt-Bus" you get to the bus station "Flachau Ortsmitte"
