Description
A very particular christmas market is located at Stephansplatz in Munich. This is where the local gay community celebrates Christmas time with mulled wine and pink lights. Gay people, families, tourists, and party people alike enjoy this event. Inside the elegant white tents, you can buy extraordinary presents, and shows with travesty stars such as Gene Pascale, Baby Bubble, or comedian Thoma Mack take place every day at 7 pm.
This small Christmas market is not only one of the most famous ones in Munich's city centre, it is also the only one open as late as 10 pm. Historical Information
Pink Christmas emerged from the local gay community in Munich, and has been held annually since 2004. Nowadays, it counts over 800,000 visitors of all sexual orientations.

The easiest way to get there is on public transport. The Christmas market is only a few minutes' walk away from Sendlinger Tor.
