Route description
Start at the town center of Vaduz. Above the town sits castle Vaduz, home of the baronial familiy. First bike towards Schaan and turn left at the end of the town into Tröxlegasse, which leads to bridge Energiebrücke. Cross the bridge to get to Buchs. The local castle Werdenberg and its appendant town are mostly obtained in the original version from the 13th century. Continue towards Sevelen until you reach Wartau. The ascent towards the castle ruin is easy to bike. The tour leads further to Sargans and the local castle. Then continue alongside river Rhein until Rheinstrasse on which you will cross the river to Balzers and get back to Liechtenstein. There you will find the last castle of this tour Burg Gutenberg. Take the bike trails back to Vaduz.
Interesting facts
- With an overall length of 28 miles the bike trail is among the 3 longest bike Trails in Liechtenstein available on TouriSpo.
- If you get hungry along the way, there are places to rest and get food. Nevertheless it’s recommended to also have enough water and food in your backpack when hiking or biking.

By car:
Take swiss Autobahn A13 and exit at Sevelen-Vaduz. From Austria take A14, exit at Feldkirch and continue towards Nendeln and Vaduz.
By public transport:
Take the train or the bus from Buchs or Sargans (Swizerland) or Feldkirch (Austria) to Vaduz.
