Route description
Starting point of the hike is alp Gaflei on 1400m. The path across the alpine meadow leads slightly ascending to the alp region of Liechtenstein and futher to Fürstensteig. The cliff path is one of the most famous paths on mountain Rätikon. Steel wire ropes and balustrades secure the exposed parts. At saddle Gafleisattel you will have a view on Drei-Schwestern. Via „Chemi“, chimney, you will get to alp Bärgälla-Sattel. Enjoy the great view on the alps of Liechtenstein. Afterwards, the path takes you back to Gaflei.
Interesting facts
- You're traveling a distance of 6 km on this moderate trail. The hike is therefore not too long. Average length of all hikes in Liechtenstein is 16 km.
- You're facing an uphill climb of 548 vertical meters on this hike. The hike takes you to an elevation of 1,924 m.
- You shouldn’t forget to bring your hiking boots. There are some sections on the trail where sturdy footwear is required.

By car
From Switzerland:
take A13, exit Sevelen towards Vaduz, turn onto Zollstraße, drive towards Triesenberg/Gaflei
From Austria:
take A14, exit Feldkirch towards Nendeln and Vaduz
Alternatively take bus 21 in Vaduz and change busses in Triesenberg Post to bus 22.
