Interactive Areas
The aquarium also features interactive areas. In the Discovery Pool, curious minds can gain fascinating insights into the marine world and learn intriguing facts about the oceans and their inhabitants from the marine experts at Sea Life Konstanz. An absolute highlight for young sea explorers is the area of fantasy fish. Here, they can unleash their creativity, color fish pictures, and bring their artwork to life in a digital aquarium.
Feedings
You can witness feedings up close at Sea Life Konstanz every day. For instance, at the Lake Constance basin, you can feed the fish yourself and learn all about the inhabitants of Lake Constance from the animal caretakers. In the Rainforest area, you can observe the feeding of piranhas through the Piranha Tunnel. How do they react as shoaling fish to their food?
During feeding time at the North Sea floor, you'll learn all sorts of interesting facts about catsharks and flatfish, as well as nail and marbled rays. With a bit of luck, you might even get to see a freshly laid shark or ray egg. The last stop where you can observe the marine creatures during feeding is the Rotterdam Harbor. Here, you can admire sea bass, sea bream, and gilt-head bream.
The Lake Constance Nature Museum is located in the same building as Sea Life Konstanz. Admission is included with every Sea Life ticket.

Sea Life Konstanz opened in 1999.
Sea Life Konstanz is one of seven Sea Life aquariums in Germany. The other six are located in Berlin, Hanover, Oberhausen, Speyer, Timmendorfer Strand, and Munich.
How to get there
If you're arriving by car, you can take the A81 motorway and then switch to the A98 towards Konstanz. Follow the signs towards Konstanz city center. Sea Life Konstanz is situated by Lake Constance, near Konstanz Harbor. For those arriving by car, the park and ride option is available.
It is recommended to travel by public transportor ship, as traffic in Konstanz is very heavy, and there are only a few parking spaces available on-site."
