Description & Details

In the heart of the Westphalian spa town of Bad Sassendorf, the Börde Therme invites visitors to leave everyday life behind. Those seeking peace, warmth, and soothing treatments will find the perfect place to relax and recharge.
Two indoor and two outdoor pools invite visitors to relax and float – with a view of the spa park. The thermal pools are filled with natural brine from the region's recognized healing springs. The pleasantly warm and mineral-rich water relaxes muscles and joints, while also benefiting the skin and respiratory system.
In addition to the eight saunas and wellness area, Börde Therme offers other retreats: for example, the sea salt grotto, whose salty air makes breathing easier and provides deep relaxation. The spacious relaxation house with a cozy fireplace corner, as well as the stylishly designed quiet rooms, offer plenty of space to unwind. For those who prefer a more active experience, there is the opportunity to participate in the regularly held underwater gymnastics in the activity pool.
Saunas
The sauna landscape at Börde Therme offers a wide range – from classic hot to gently tempered – ensuring there is something to suit every preference for relaxation and regeneration.
For classic infusions, the panoramic sauna (70 °C) with a wide view and the boiling hut (90 °C) with hourly ceremonies are available. Those looking for a milder option will find the Sanarium (bio-sauna, 50 – 60 °C) or the Caldarium (40 – 50 °C) with gentle radiant heat perfect. Steam bath enthusiasts can enjoy the Börde fog (42 – 45 °C), where high humidity and subtle aromas pamper the skin and respiratory system.
Special themed rooms complement the offerings: The Börde distillery evokes an old distillery and is designed with natural scents, while the graduation tower sauna (80°C), with light effects and wood finishes, creates a peaceful atmosphere. The salt cavern sauna (80 – 90°C) reflects local tradition, creating a relaxing environment with backlit salt stones. The crystal sauna (90 – 95°C) combines high temperatures with decorative minerals such as amethyst and rose quartz.
