Swimming Lake
The Eginger See is a 20 hectare large natural bathing lake, which spits itself from the Rohrbach in Eging. Since it is one of the few natural bathing lakes in the Bavarian Forest, it enjoys great popularity in summer.
The seaside resort offers a sandy beach as well as a jetty and a swimming island. The shallower shore area is separated from the deep water for the safety of the smaller bathers.
The lake restaurant with terrace and the beer garden invite you for refreshment. There is also a kiosk where you can buy ice cream or something sweet for in between.
Things to do
For the little ones, there is a children's playground on the lake and, since 2013, a granite water landscape with paddling and adventure pools on three levels.
Furthermore, there are large sunbathing areas for extensive sunbathing, both in the blazing sun and shady under trees. If you want to let off steam a bit, you can use the beach volleyball court or explore the reservoir by pedal boat.
Around the lake there is also a hiking trail with information boards about the local flora and fauna.
In winter you can ice skate and curling on Lake Egingen.
