Route description
The medium difficulty hiking is especially recommended on sunny days. The hike leads past the "WoodWonderWorld" (children's playground in the middle of the forest) and past the source of the Drava River.

At the main road in the direction of Cortina to the left after the Guesthouse Emma starts the path. The path with sign no. 28A leads in an easterly direction behind the Grand Hotel past the "WoodWonderWorld" of the Nature Park House through a larch forest in the direction of San Candido. After a few minutes it passes the source of the Drava River. The path leads through the forest on to San Candido. From San Candido it goes uphill to the Val Castello and continue on the sunny Costa Nossellari to Dobbiaco Vecchia/Alttoblach.

- You're traveling a distance of 9 km on this moderate trail. The hike is therefore not too long. Average length of all hikes in South Tyrol is 12 km.
- You're facing an uphill climb of 243 vertical meters on this hike. The hike takes you to an elevation of 1,343 m.

- You shouldn’t forget to bring your hiking boots. There are some sections on the trail where sturdy footwear is required. If you get hungry along the way, there are places to rest and get food. Nevertheless it’s recommended to also have enough water and food in your backpack when hiking or biking.
