Route description
Schönsee Castle Trail connects the castle ruins of Frauenstein and Reichenstein, taking hikers back in time to the Middle Ages. The second half of the tour features some very steep ascents, Hence, you should really have enough stamina. Starting at Frauenstein castle ruins, you continue cia Wotanstein to Drechselberg, and then walk to Reichenstein castle ruins. At the end, you can enjoy the view from the Bohemian Forst viewing tower.

Getting here
Take motorway A93, which you leave at exit 30-Nabburg towards Schönsee. Turn right onto St2156, and follow the road until you can turn right onto B22. Turn left, then follow St2159. Turn right twiche onto Schönseer Straße, then continue to the main road (Hauptstraße). There is an inn at Frauenstein, where you can park your car.
