AlbThermen Bad Urach

AlbThermen Bad Urach offers a calm and soothing bathing experience in a unique setting. Instead of sleek glass facades, you'll find a well-maintained facility with vintage charm: chandeliers, elegant details, and 70s-style architecture give the spa its distinct character.

At the heart of it all is the pure thermal water, drawn from a depth of 700 meters. In six pools with temperatures ranging between 90 – 100°F, guests can unwind indoors and outdoors. The water is completely renewed three times a day and is known to be especially beneficial for joints, back, and muscles. Aqua aerobics classes are also offered regularly.

After a bath, a sauna session or a wellness treatment, guests can enjoy good food in the in-house restaurant.

A true highlight is the expansive sauna area featuring ten different types of heat baths. Guests can choose from a classic Finnish sauna, steam bath, and themed experience saunas. The large AlbSauna, with space for 70 people, regularly hosts impressive infusion ceremonies enhanced with essential oils and performed by experienced sauna masters.

The sauna courtyard and sun terrace not only offer plenty of space to relax but also provide sweeping views of the Swabian Alb. A dedicated indoor sauna pool and lovingly designed relaxation zones make it easy to enjoy an extended break.

The spa experience is rounded out with a wide range of wellness and massage services. Whether it’s a classic back massage, aromatherapy, hot stone, or foot reflexology – all treatments are performed by trained professionals. AlbThermen Bad Urach is located on the southern edge of the town of Bad Urach in the Swabian Alb. Thanks to good transport links, the thermal spa is easy to reach by car or public transport.

By car, take the B465 directly to Bad Urach. From Stuttgart, take the A8 to the Wendlingen exit, then continue via the B313 and B465 to Bad Urach. In the spa district, AlbThermen is well signposted, and parking is available right at the spa.

By public transport, you can reach AlbThermen easily from Metzingen via the Ermstalbahn (departing from Metzingen station, track 3) or the RAB bus line 7640. Get off at the stop "Bad Urach Wasserfall"– from there it’s about a 10-minute walk to the spa. Alternatively, the city bus line 108 stops directly at "Thermalbad", right at the entrance.
