Route description
The last of five stages of Zweitälersteig trail in the southern Black Forest leads you from Höhenhäuser back to Waldkirch. This is where you started on the first stage, which was followed by stages two, three, and four. Mainly downhill, the last 23km/14mi of 106km/66mi total get you to Waldkirch.

- Taking your dog on this trail shouldn’t be a problem.
- Sturdy hiking boots are recommended on this track. There are places to buy beverages and food along the track. However it’s always recommended to bring enough water and food along with you.
Getting here
Coming from Waldkirch, you reach the starting point via B294. Drive to Elzach, where you turn left towards Biederbach on L101. Follow the road to the car park of Höhengasthaus zum Kreuz at the pass.
Coming from Hausach, follow B294 to Elzach, and stay on the ring road. Just before leaving the town, turn right onto L101 towards Biederbach. Follow the road until you reach the car park of Höhengasthaus zum Kreuz at the pass.
