Route description
A hike with many geologically interesting sights into the Bletterbach gorge.Route: Monte S. Pietro/Petersberg, village centre – path n. 1 to Pietralba – Pilgrims’ House (1520m) – trail S – trail E5 and path n. 3 to the Malga Laner (1h) – Geo Center Bletterbach – down into the gorge-trail G back to the Malga Laner (1h) – trail n. 3 into the Köser Tal valley – trail E5 and S back to Pietralba.

Interesting facts
- With an overall length of 16 km the hike is among the 15 longest hikes in Italy available on TouriSpo.
- You're facing an uphill climb of 653 vertical meters on this hike. The high point of the hike is located at an elevation of 1,760 m.
- You can easily take your dog on this trail. (See all dog friendly hikes in South Tyrol.)
- Sturdy hiking boots are recommended on this track. If you get hungry along the way, there are places to rest and get food. Nevertheless it’s recommended to also have enough water and food in your backpack when hiking or biking.
Getting here
Take highway's exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the right and continue to Nova Ponente and than in direction to Monte S. Pietro (about 45 min. from highway toll booth).
