Route description
This last stage of the classic variation of Lechweg trail with a total of seven stages truly packs a punch. You start in Wängle, which you have reached after stages 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. You are looking at a total of 25 kilometres and around 10 hours of hiking. Furthermore, there are two bigger and two smaller ascents you need to overcome.

- With an overall length of 25 km the hike is among the 10 longest hikes in Bavaria available on TouriSpo.
- You're facing an uphill climb of 1142 vertical meters on this hike. The highest point of the track is 1,167 m above sea level.
- Taking your dog on this trail shouldn’t be a problem. (See all dog friendly hikes in Bavaria.)
- Make sure to bring sturdy footwear on this track. Hiking boots are highly recommended. There are places to buy beverages and food along the track. However it’s always recommended to bring enough water and food along with you.

Getting here
By car
Coming from Munich, you get to Reutte in Tirol over motorway A95 to Oberau. Afterwards, continue on the federal road to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Follow the road to Ehrwald, then drive on B179 via Lermoos to Reutte.
From the south (direction Bolzano), follow motorway A22 towards Innsbruck. Continue on A12 towards Bregenz. Leave the motorway at exit Mötz, and follow the signs to Fernpass/Reutte. Another option is to drive over Reschen pass, then follow the signs towards Landeck/Imst/Fernpass/Reutte.
Public transportation
You can get to the town of Reutte in Tirol from Füssen on bus line 4258. Bus line 4268 goes between Reutte and Warth. There is also a railway station in Reutte. Trains going from Vils to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and back call here.
