Description
With the new Fly-Line in Winterberg you can fly through the forest on a 1000 meter long route. It is the first of its kind in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Fly-Line is located at the Erlebnisberg Kappe and starts directly under the mountain station of the 6-seater chairlift, where tickets are also sold.
Hanging from a near silent roller sled you fly between the treetops towards the valley. The fun lasts five minutes at heights of up to 10 metres. The speed of the Fly-Line is very leisurely at 12 km/h and is therefore already suitable for children. A centrifugal brake regulates the speed. Guides will help you get on and off the Fly-Line.
During the ride you will experience the forest from a bird's eye view and can also observe the visitors of the bike park from the air. To your starting point at the mountain station the nearby chairlift takes you.
At the Erlebnisberg Kappe there is not only the Fly-Line, but also many other attractions. In addition to the Bikepark there is also a toboggan run, a climbing forest, the panorama-experience bridge, a nature experience path and lots of playgrounds. The World Cup bobsleigh track of Winterberg is also located here.
How to get there
The Erlebnisberg Kappe is well signposted. There are plenty of parking spaces along the road to the top. Since the entrance to the Fly-Line is at the top station of the chairlift, it is best to park further up at the Bikepark.
