Description
The Söllereck in Oberstdorf in the Allgäu not only attracts skiers in winter with its well-prepared slopes, but also offers an attraction in summer: The Allgäu Coaster promises a fast ride past the impressive panorama.
The summer toboggan run runs over a length of 850 metres. Various curves with built-in jumps and waves provide action. The most exciting part is probably at the end: Here you cross the main road at a speed of up to 40 kilometres per hour on a specially built toboggan run bridge. After a rapid downhill ride, the mountain lift takes you comfortably back up to the starting point of the descent.
The Allgäu Coaster is also equipped for bad weather. If it's rainy and cold, simply put a protective Plexiglas cover over the toboggan. As the toboggans are on rails and seatbelts are compulsory, you don't have to worry about your safety. During the descent on the summer toboggan run, the brakes are applied automatically, but if things get too fast for you, you can set your own speed using the brakes.
