Route description
This beautiful hike starts at the car park and first leads into Binger Wald, the east section of Soonwald. Steeply ascending, you overcome Kandrich mountain and continue to Ohligsberg. On Eselstein you can find a small hut where you may want to take a break, and a climbing park, if you want some more action. The hike goes on to Salzkopf, where you mount a viewing tower. Enjoy the view, before continuing back downhill. Once you reach Jägerhaus, you can enjoy the calm of the forest before ending your tour.

- You're traveling a distance of 15 km on this easy trail. Average length of all hikes in the Rhineland-Palatinate is 43 km.
- Don’t hesitate to take your kids along on this easy hikes. The hike is also perfect if the kid’s wanna bring their dog on the trip.
- Make sure to bring sturdy footwear on this track. Hiking boots are highly recommended. If you get hungry along the way, there are places to rest and get food. Nevertheless it’s recommended to also have enough water and food in your backpack when hiking or biking.

Sturdy shoes and weather proof clothing are recommended. Furthermore, make sure to bring enough provisions and water.
Getting here
By car:
Follow motorway A61 to get to the starting point, Rheinböllerhütte car park. Exit at Rheinböllen, then leave the town south-east-bound on L214. The car park is on your right-hand side.
Public transportation:
Bus line 230 Bingen - Stromberg - Simmern stops at your starting point.
