The Largo maggiore is a large lake located in the Italian provinces of Piedmont and Lombardy. A small part of the lake also reaches out to Switzerland which is why tours of both countries can be offered from the lake.
The lake has many options of outdoor activities to offer from the Southern Alpine peaks up until the Po valley. In fact, the Lago Maggiore is the second biggest lake in the whole of Italy with a total length of 66 kilometers, just behind the Lake Garda. The area is known for its mild climate conditions – mostly because of the mountains in the north holding back the cold north wind.
