Spreewald Spa Burg

It is amazing how two different concepts like highly modern equipment and architecture on the one hand and rural atmosphere on the other correspond within Spreewald Spa. Burg's thermal brine, which comes from as far as 1350m deep down with a high concentration of minerals, is what this spa is famous for. The brine is particularly soothing for back complaints, respiratory tract infections and irritated skin. Spreewald Spa offers eight different pools to enjoy 38°C/100°F hot brine water in the middle of UNESCO biosphere reserve.

Spreewald Sauna garden is perfect to relax and leave your day-to-day life behind. On three different floors, visitors have the option to choose from five saunas and two steam baths. For a start, we recommend a low temperature sauna like the 57°C/135°F warm Sanarium with a humidity of 55%. A light of changing colours creates a calming atmosphere. For some more heat try the silence sauna heated up to 85°C/185°F. As the name implies, silence is very much appreciated within this sauna. Another Finnish sauna is the fire sauna (90°C/184°F), where you will be able to enjoy an urban atmosphere with a fire place.

Various aromatic infusions are offered within the 90°C/184°F to 95°C/203°F warm Spreewald sauna. The scent of fresh herbs fills the whole room of Spreewald Spa's herb sauna, which is located within the old gallery and heats up to 90°C/184°F. Starting at 10:45 am, infusions are offerd every hour. 

The 57°C/135°F warm Caldarium has a purifiying effect on hair, skin and airways. This calming steam bath will also boost your circulation. Likewise, the 45°C/113°F warm aromatic steam bath with humidity of almost 100% has a soothing effect on rheumatic pain. To refresh your body after the sauna, Spreewald Spa offers diving pools, ice pools and showers. And eventually to calm down and enjoy the comforting feeling after having a sauna use the beautiful conservatory, the fireplace room or the sauna bar.

In addition to the brine water, a beauty treatment completes your stay. Various massages, treatments and baths are offered at Spreewald Spa. For the special treatments we use local products like cucumbers, linseed oil and algae.

By car:

From Berlin: Take A 15 and exit in Vetschau. Then via Müschen to Burg. In Burg simply follow the signs to Spreewald Spa.

From Dresden: Take A13 and exit in Bronkow, then follow the road via Calau – Vetschau to Burg.

From Frankfurt (Oder): Take B168 and B320 to Straupitz, then towards Cottbus to Burg.
