The entry to St. Peter's Basilica is free of charge. There is a lift available to the top for 4€ (the lift however doesn't go all the way up!).
St. Peter's Basilica is opened only until 6 PM during the winter. The dome can be visited from 8 AM to 6 PM during the summer, respectively until 5 PM in the winter. The dome cannot be visited if there are ceremonies within the Basilica.
