The second-most beautiful place in Styria
Lake "Steirischer Bodensee" is situated at the foot of Hochwildstelle (a 2747m high mountain in the heart of Styria) at 1150m a.s.l. In 2012 Lake "Steirischer Bodensee" was rewarded being the second-most beautiful place in Styria. The lake is accessible via a toll road and a lot of a hiking trails.

Restaurant "Forellenhof" serves fresh trouts (of course all born and raised in Lake "Steirischer Bodensee").
Starting point for beautiful hikes
I can recommend lake "Steirischer Bodensee" as the starting point for some beautiful hikes to several peaks of Schladminger Tauern.

How to get there
By car
Branch off Ennstalbundesstraße B320 in Ruperting and search for "Petersbergweg". From there the lake is already signposted.
