Description & Details
The name of our wellness oasis "De Baalje" comes from the German dialect and means, translated into English, bathtub. In the past, these East Frisian bathtubs were not only used for washing clothes, but the whole family also took a beneficial bath in the bathtubs, which were usually made of wood or zinc.
Today we leave the laundry to the washing machines and even the feel-good experience at that time cannot keep up with the one in our leisure pool. What remains the same is the fun for the whole family. We offer you and your family a modern equipped indoor and outdoor area as well as a varied sauna landscape as a year-round bath.
In the covered year-round swimming pool there is a swimmer's pool with 6 lanes and a lifting floor, which makes it possible to regulate the water depth individually. The hot water teaching pool was also equipped with this floor. Attractions such as jumping facilities with different heights, a 65m long adventure slide, a small children's play pool and an outdoor brine pool offer the whole family recreation and fun.
In the outdoor pool you will find a swimming pool with 8 lanes, a non-swimmer pool and a play pool with sun protection for small children. You can sunbathe and relax on the large and well-kept play and sunbathing lawn. Children's playground, sandy beach as you know it from your holidays, and a beach bar with sun terrace round off the leisure offer.
Saunas
We have divided the sauna world in De Baalje into an outdoor and an indoor area.
Inside there is a Finnish and a bio sauna, as well as a steam bath. The relaxation room is the ideal place to relax between sauna sessions.
In the outdoor area you will find the sauna garden with sunbathing lawns and spacious and covered outdoor lying areas. The earth sauna, the infusion sauna and the rest house are also located here.
The fireplace lounge invites you to linger in a romantic atmosphere, in the sauna restaurant you can spoil yourself with culinary delights.
