The Botanic Garden
The Botanic Garden and the Botanic Museum in Berlin-Dahlem, feature more than 20,000 types of plants from all parts of the world, making it one of the largest botanic gardens in the world. The protected historic monument looks back over 330 years of history and tradition.
Living flora
On a surface of 43 ha (106 acres), you can explore the world's botanic treasures. You can discover the world's flora from Spain to the Caucasus, from the prairie of North America to the tops of the Himalaya, from the desert of Mexico to the tropical rain forest of South America. Literally every corner of the world is represented here.
In the 14 ha (35 acres) large arboretum and the systematic segment, one can learn a lot about the relationships between herbaceous plants and woods. The special gardens might also be of particular interest as they present plants for various purposes from different biotopes. A range of different garden types awaits the visitor here, including the medicinal plant garden, the scent and grope garden, the swamp and water garden, the Italian garden and the moss garden with perennial cacti.
Exhibition
Along with the collection of the permanently primed plants and the extensive library, the diverse collections of the special gardens are the foundation of the scientific work on diverse life forms of plants and their biodiversity. Thanks to the connection of botanic garden with botanic museum, the grounds in Berlin-Dahlem are truly one of a kind in central Europe.
The Botanic Museum
In the botanic museum, various aspects around the plant are presented in permanent, special, and gallery exhibitions. From the process of the growth of plants and how to use them up to the art and cultural history of plants a broad range of topics is covered.

Take the X83 and 101, get off at the bus stop “Königin-Lusie-Platz”.
Access the Botanic Garden via:
