Route description
This romantic ascenting trail leads along a mountain path to a river called Sefinenlütschine and further to Fürten. Continue walking up passing Ozen and you will reach Sefinenalp. Now walk further till Rotstockhütte, where you can get some food and your well deserved rest. Afterwards you start descending towards Brüdli and Spielbodenalp from where the path continues to Grimmwald or Mürren.

- With an overall length of 14 km the hike is among the 3 longest hikes in the Bernese Oberland available on TouriSpo.
- You're facing an uphill climb of 1208 vertical meters on this hike. This makes the hike one of the 10 hikes with the most ascent in Switzerland. The hike takes you to an elevation of 2,051 m.
- You shouldn’t forget to bring your hiking boots. There are some sections on the trail where sturdy footwear is required. If you get hungry along the way, there are places to rest and get food. Nevertheless it’s recommended to also have enough water and food in your backpack when hiking or biking.

Highlight of this tour is the amazing view over the valley of Sefinenalp as well as Talkessel in Chilchbalm.
Variations
The route can be expanded by making a detour from Fürten to Chilchbalm.
