Route description
Starting at the train station the track leads uphill towards Große Scheidegg. After about 2.5 km take a right on Terrassenweg. The track is a bit hilly and continues to Gaagi Sagi. From there the road rises slightly.
After passing the last houses along the road the track continues on a steep descent asphalt road leading towards Stutz and then continues to the right towards Wagisbach. After this short descent you finally get to the little school house of Bussalp and from there the track continues on an asphalt road via Herrschaft back to the starting point of the tour: Grindelwald train station.
Interesting facts
- You're traveling a distance of 10 km on this trail. The bike trail is therefore not too long. Average length of all bike Trails in the Bernese Oberland is 42 km.
- This bike trail is perfect for the whole family. The bike trail is also perfect if the kid’s wanna bring their dog on the trip.
- If you get hungry along the way, there are places to rest and get food. Nevertheless it’s recommended to also have enough water and food in your backpack when hiking or biking.

This biking tour is pretty easy, therefore a great chance to get to know Grindelwald and to get a great view of it.
Getting here
By car:
From Basel, Zurich or Genf just take a car towards Grindelwald. Take the freeway via Bern to Spiez. From there a good road leads via Interlaken to Grindelwald.
Starting point of the tour is the train station in Grindelwald.
