With the opening of Highline Warsaw, the Polish capital welcomes a new attraction of truly European significance. The observation deck is located in the Varso Tower, the tallest building in the European Union. At 230 meters above the ground, on the 53rd floor, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view over Warsaw’s skyline, and on clear days, the view stretches far beyond the city limits. With its striking architecture and height, Varso Tower joins the ranks of Europe’s most iconic skyscrapers and sets new standards in design, sustainability, and visitor experience.

Where Architecture Meets Experience

Skyscrapers are rarely among a city’s top tourist attractions—but the Varso Tower is changing that. The integrated Highline Warsaw experience is well worth a visit. As the highest publicly accessible viewpoint in the European Union, the Highline combines architectural elegance with cutting-edge technology across two levels.

Indoor Area: The enclosed panorama level features floor-to-ceiling glass windows that open up stunning views of Warsaw’s Old Town, the Vistula River, and the city’s modern business district. Thanks to the air-conditioned interior, visitors can enjoy the view all year round and regardless of the weather, perfect for those who want to discover Warsaw from a bird’s-eye perspective.

Outdoor Terrace: Those who prefer to feel the wind in their hair and the expanse of the city at their feet should step outside. The open-air terrace offers a 360-degree walkway with a true sense of freedom and spectacular vistas over Warsaw.

The Highline – A Modern World of Experience

Beyond its observation decks, Highline Warsaw offers a truly immersive experience high above the city. In the multimedia Experience Room, the history and future of Warsaw come to life through impressive images, projections, and soundscapes. Interactive zones connect stories of history, architecture, and urban development in a vivid, hands-on way, turning the visit into a discovery for all the senses. At the heart of the Highline lies the HighGarden Rooftop Lounge on the 49th floor, a stylish combination of bar, garden terrace, and signature cocktails. It’s not only a place to relax and enjoy the moment but also Warsaw’s highest cocktail bar, offering an unforgettable view over the city’s glittering skyline.

A special highlight is the Magnicity App with Augmented Reality, which transforms any smartphone into a digital city guide. It identifies landmarks, historic sites, and hidden gems, overlaying them directly onto the real skyline—bringing Warsaw’s secrets to life in an innovative and interactive way.

Before heading back down, visitors pass through the 46th floor, where a souvenir shop and an AI-powered photo booth await. Here, guests can capture their memories with personalized photos enhanced by artificial intelligence. Whether it’s a classic souvenir snapshot or a creative selfie above the rooftops—this moment is sure to be unforgettable.

Recommendation: The best time to visit is undoubtedly during the golden hour. As the sun sets over the Vistula River and the glass façades of the city glow in warm colors, the terrace transforms into a sea of light and reflections, a magical finale to a visit above the clouds.

Historical Information

The impressive Varso Tower rises high above Warsaw’s skyline.

The idea for the Varso Tower emerged as part of the urban redevelopment of Warsaw’s city center. The goal was to transform the former railway site into a modern and sustainable urban district.

Construction began in 2016 as part of the large-scale Varso Place project, which combines office spaces, restaurants, and leisure areas. The skyscraper was designed by the renowned London-based architectural firm Foster + Partners, also known for iconic landmarks such as The Gherkin in London and the Apple Park in California.

After several years of construction, the Varso Tower was completed in 2022. At 310 meters, including its spire, it has since become the tallest building in the European Union. The Highline Warsaw forms the touristic centerpiece of the tower and officially opened to visitors in 2024.

How to get there

The Highline Warsaw in the Varso Tower is located in the heart of Warsaw, just a few steps from the Warszawa Centralna main railway station. Thanks to its central location, it is easily accessible both by public transport and by car.

By public transport:

Train: Direct connection via Warszawa Centralna; from there, it’s only a short walk to the entrance of the Varso Place complex.

Metro: Line M2, Rondo ONZ station – about a 5-minute walk.

Bus & Tram: Several lines stop at Dworzec Centralny and Emilii Plater, both located just a few minutes away.

By car: Visitors arriving by car can use the underground parking garage of the Varso Tower, with entry via ulica Chmielna 69. Alternatively, there are public car parks and short-term parking spaces nearby, for example on Złota Street and at the Złote Tarasy shopping center, just a few minutes’ walk away.

Recommendation: As traffic in Warsaw’s city center can be heavy, using public transport is recommended for the most convenient journey.
