Description
The "Porto Region Across The Ages" (PRATA) Museum is located, along with six other museums, in the "WOW Porto" cultural complex. The museum takes you on a journey through the history of Porto, allowing visitors to understand the foundations, setbacks, conquests, discoveries, and wars that have shaped Portugal, particularly Porto.
Exhibition
Upon entering PRATA, you are greeted by an authentic replica of Porto's famous tram. You even have the opportunity to step inside this replica. Gradually, you are guided through the history of Porto. The exhibition takes visitors through the different eras that have shaped Porto. The detailed representation of historical events and their impact on the city provides a deeper understanding of Porto's development. PRATA not only provides insights into the history of Porto but also into the diverse culture and people of the city. From a humble settlement to an important trade center, Porto has undergone a rich cultural evolution. Through interactive exhibits, displays, and multimedia presentations, visitors are able to better understand the people and their traditions.
Interactive Stories
One highlight of PRATA is the interactive stories. Through presentations and interactive elements, visitors are immersed in the events. A cinema and a video mapping show are also part of the exhibition. WOW Porto Cultural Complex
After exploring the "Porto Region Across The Ages Museum," you should definitely visit the six other museums in the WOW cultural complex, such as the "Planet Cork Museum" or "The Chocolate Story Museum". The WOW museums are located in the historic district of Gaia, directly across from Porto.
