Route description
The new picturesque Sunnenseitn Trail in the Stubai Valley is a great experience for hikers. The newly built suspension bridge and the Neustiftblick natural spectacle ensure this. In total, the trail stretches for almost 8 kilometers. You should allow around three hours for the hike. The best time to hike the trail is from May to October.
The Sunnenseitn Weg tour starts at the Bachertal parking lot in Neustift im Stubai Valley at an altitude of 1039 meters. From there, follow the Bachertalweg trail until you turn left onto the hiking trail before the bridge. From here, follow the path through the forest. At the occasional junctions, signposts show you the way towards Fulpmes.
After a while you reach the highlight, the suspension bridge on the Sunnenseitn Weg. Here you will also find the Neustiftblick natural site. A final major ascent follows. After a 45-minute walk, you reach the Vergör mountain inn. From here it is just under an hour to the Schlick 2000 valley station.
The last few meters of the route are asphalted. Only the section from the valley station to Berggasthof Vergör is suitable for wheelchairs and baby carriages.
