Route description
Having reached the famous Martin-Busch-Hut while hiking the previuos stage, this is your chance to rest and relax while enjoying the hut's sun deck. The imminent trail is the last stage of the E5 classic long-distance trail from Oberstdorf to Meran across the Alps. As you have made it through all previous stages of the hiking trail, you crossed the border of both Austria and Italy and the incredible mountain views have probably left an unforgettable and lasting impression.
During this stage you should have a break at the Similaun Hut, which is located at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters. As soon as you have descended to the Vernagt Reservoir, hop on the bus to your final destination, the city of Meran.
