Description
Named after Pan, the Greek god of the forest, and 'arbor', the Latin word for tree, the Panarbora treetop path is located in the Bergisches Land region near Waldbröl. With a length of 1,635 metres, it is the longest treetop path in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The barrier-free path leads as a circular route through the various tree vegetation zones and reaches a height of up to 23 metres. Along the path you will find an interactive exhibition on the flora and fauna of the region and the role of humans in nature. The six stations deal with the different types of forest, animals in the forest, wood as a raw material and the transformation of the landscape.
The highlight of the trail is the 40-metre-high observation tower. The path spirals up to the platform at a height of 34 metres. From there you have a magnificent view over the Bergisches Land.
In addition to the treetop path, the Panarbora Nature Adventure Park also includes a hedge maze, an underground play tunnel, a forest trail, an adventure playground and a nature adventure academy. The Panarbora restaurant takes care of your physical well-being.
