Description & Details
After two years of construction, leisure centre Atoll has opened its doors right by Lake Achen's south bank on 30 July 2018. Lake Achensee tourist association and the municimapity of Eben have invested a total of 21 million euros in the multifunctional, year-round facility. Apart from a swimming pool, Atoll also includes an extensive sauna area, a boulder room, a gym as well as a large artificial ice rink. Other features include a massive adventure playground, dining facilities, and an open-air area with access to the lake. Moreover, TVB has opened a new Welcome Center as a tourist information at Atoll.
Panoramic Pool
Year-round and independent of the weather, you can enjoy Atoll's panoramic pool. The bathing area includes a swimming pool (25 metres), family and non-swimmer pool (indoor and outdoor), a slide, and a water playground. It also features a flow passage, bubble jets, massage nozzles, and fizz loungers. While you enjoy your bath, the numerous glass fronts provide great view of the lake.
Lakeside Pool
During the summer months, the brandnew SEE-Bad right by Lake Achen is a great highlight. Three bathing platforms as well as wooden sitting areas provide space for swimming and relaxing. After almost 60 years on the lake, tradition-rich 31 metres long Lake Achen ship St Benedikt was run ashore to become a play ship. Sports enthusiasts will also find a beach volleyball area, three tennis courts, and a football field. A kiting school, watersports centre Buchau as well as the paddleboat club are located in the surrounding area.
Unique Architecture
The drop-shaped roof is the architectural highlight of Atoll. It joins the various islands, and explains the attraction's name. An atoll normally means a circular coral island. Circular lines are not only found in the logo, but are reflected in Atoll's interior design in the form of lamps, tables, or chairs as well.
Saunas
The new penthouse spa provides you with stunning views as well as a large variety of different saunas. The panoramic area boasts Finnish, herbal, and coloured light saunas, an infrared cabin as well as a steam bath. The range is completed by relaxation rooms, outdoor relaxation areas, Kneipp facilities, a plunge pool, and the absolute hightlight: a rooftop infinity pool.
