Sex Machines Museum in Prague's Old Town is certainly one of the city's most peculiar attractions. Besides various ancient and modern sex machines, it also exhibits anything to do with sex. Only adults are admitted, there is no entrance for children and teenagers under the age of 18.
Upon entering, you go straight into a little cinema, where black and white pornographic content from the early days of porn is played non-stop. Today, these are probably seen more as amusement than as art or film.

For instance, you learn that chastity belts actually were not "prescribed" to women by their jealous husbands. In fact, they were mainly worn by single women to prevent being raped on extensive journeys or hikes.
The museum's last storey is dedicated solely to sadomasochism. Not much is left to imagination, with exhibits ranging from revolving saltires to scourging machines for the lonely masochist.
Sex Machines Museum Prague is certainly worth a visit for everyone who is curious. You should plan to spend at least half an hour discovering all the rarities it offers. Furthermore, you will definitely have a story to tell afterwards.
How to get there
Sex Machines Museum is located in the center of Prague's Old Town, south of Oldtown Square, which can be accessed easily via metro or taxi. From there, you can walk to the museum in less than five minutes.
