Swimming Lake
In the heart of south Styrian Weinland, beautifully located, one finds the natural lake Gleinstätten. It is the perfect holiday destination for the whole family. The lake is 12,000m² (14,350 sq yd) large and offers around 1000m² (1,200 sq yd) of open-air lawns, a separate pool for children as well as several other leisure facilities making it a fun place to be for all water enthusiasts. The average water temperature is about 24°C (75°F) in summer. There is a gastronomy pavilion serving food and drinks, an own fish pond for anglers, and a camp site with the capacity of 40 pitches.
Dogs are allowed on-site, but not allowed in the water.

Things to do
The lake offers a playground, a beach volleyball court, table tennis, table football, a water slide, slack-line facilities and a badminton court.
Along the lake one will find numerous hiking and cycling paths.

How to get there
By car:
Gleinstätten is located in the middle of the south Styrian Weinland. You can get here by taking the A9 (Phyrnautobahn) in the direction of Slovenia, exit at Leibnitz and then carry on via the B74 towards Gleinstätten. Alternatively, coming from Carinthia, you get here by using the mountain pass Soboth.
