Over Soft Mountain Pastures and High Peaks

Switzerland has a truly manifold scenery, which makes it a top destination for hikers. The Alpine regions, especially around those imposing four-thousand meter high summits as well as the Matterhorn or the striking Aletsch Glacier, leave active vacationers in amazement.

 

 

Long distance trails such as the Via Alpina, the Trans Swiss Trail or the high-level Jura trail are especially rewarding for passionate mountain sports lovers. They lead over stunning alpine passes, straight through diverse cultural regions and past the most important sights. Even the famous Pilgrim's route to Santiago de Compostela lies on this route, which, between the German town of Konstanz on Lake Constance and Geneva, leads right across the country.
