Hiking in Italy's Alpine regions

For those who love to hike, the north of Italy is especially attractive. This is where the southern Alps rise up over the scenery, creating idyllic valleys and high peaks. The Aosta valley, the smallest region of Italy, is characterized by the highest alpine mountains: The view glides over the Matterhorn, Monte Rose as well as the Gran Paradiso and last but not least the imposing Mont Blanc.
