Route description
From the parking lot hike the path to the right through the Bosco Martese. After approximately five kilometers a steeply descending gravel path is to follow
to the bottom of the valley. Continue on the path to the Torrente Castellano stream.
Cross the Castellano and head further left through the undergrowth. Follow the hiking trails on the left side of the stream, then turn to the right in the direction of a clearing. The next part of the way leads you through high grass before crossing the stream. Follow the stream on the right side and cross it once again soon after. First continue hiking deeper in the forest, then uphill and outside of the forest.
Next, you pass a 1756 meter high trench and reach a magnificent waterfall. The waterfall lies further downhill at the Cannavine trench. Cross it and hike uphill on the other side. You will be able to see further waterfalls coming from the intakes of the Fosso della Morricana stream.
Continue your way into a deeper lying forest, where it is beneficiary to stay on the left side. The way to the right is very steep. Once you are back in more level areas, hike over a small dig and follow the path to the right back to the Castellano stream.

There are no places to get food on the entire tour. Be sure to bring enough beforehand!

Getting here
By car
Take the SS80 from Teramo and turn onto the SP48 in the direction of Ceppo. Right before the hotel “Julia” drive through the forest and you'll be reaching a camping site after 800 meters. There is a fork in the road behind the campground where you can park your car.
