Route description
Follow a path uphill above a little valley. Head to the right into the forest, then cross a small dig. On the elevation between the dig and the Fosso dell'Acero river, follow a gravel path straight ahead.
This wide path will get you to a clearing next to a waterfall. Alongside the stream, beside rock faces you will cross a little brooklet. Then, over many grassy crests you will reach a second waterfall. Pass a gravel path coming from the right and head into the direction of the Sorgente Mercurio wellspring.
Hike above the Valle delle Cento valley straight towards the Gorzano mountain saddle. On the front side of the valley you will get to the Cento Fonti before heading further west to your left and reaching the Laghetta pinnacle behind a crest.
Where to eat
There are no places to get food on the entire tour. Be sure to bring enough food/ snacks along beforehand!

Getting here
By car
Follow the SS80 for about 30 kilometers coming from Teramo. Head to the right onto the SP45a and then further left to Cesacastina. Continue your way on a street uphill to Colle della Pietra. Turn left after a sports ground to get to a bridge over the “Fosso dell'Acero”. You can park your car here.
