Description
Above Lipno reservoir, right next to the ski slope, Czech Republic's first canopy path, Treetop Walkway Lipno, opened its doors in the summer of 2012. In 2017, a second one was created in Janské Lázně.
The walkway is 625 metres (683.5 yards) long, and elevated up to 20 metres (65.6 ft). It is lined with didactic stations, providing information about nature and its protection. The interactive stations are especially interesting for the younger visitors. At the end of the walkway, you can climb a 40 metre (131.2 ft) viewing tower that rewards you with a stunning view of the Bohemian Forest National Park. For a swift descent, take the 52 metre toboggan! Underneath the pathway, you find the 'Forest Kingdom', an extensive forest playground.
Due to its relatively minor incline even up to the tower, Treetop Walkway Lipno is accessible to people in wheelchairs as well as families with strollers. The canopy path is open year-round. In July and August, you can even enjoy it at night every Tuesday until 11 pm.
