Wild Caucasus and Black Sea

Georgia is located at the border between Europe and Asia. It combines beaches and coastal areas by the Black Sea with montane regions in the Caucasus.

Highlights include 12th century cave monastery Vardzia as well as the wine region Kakheti. Beautiful hiking trails can be found in North Georgian region Svaneti. Capital Tiflis with its labyrithine old town is also very popular with tourists.

Georgia's best known coastal town is Batumi, bearing a slight resemblance to Las Vegas thanks to its modern buildings.
