Description
Santa Pauli, at the heart of Hamburg's infamous St. Pauli district, is a Christmas market for all those who enjoy the mix of conventional Christmas tradition and red-light milieu. The Christmas market is complete with a street food market, and an erotics fair.
Mulled Wine, Angels, and Live Music
Next to the regular mulled wine and punch spot, you also get to see some hot angels at Santa Pauli strip tent. Live music and numerous booths make for a very particular atmosphere. Instead of “O Christmas Tree” you will find an “Oooh Christmas Tree” booth – and yes, this is an innuendo..
Extravagant goody bags, jewellery, and lingerie add an extra touch of eroticism to this rather unconventional Christmas market. But don't panic: if Santa Pauli doesn't warm you up enough, you can of course buy a typical knit cap. And in front of Hamburg's city hall, you can find a perfectly innocent, classic Christmas market as well.
How to get there
On public transport
Santa Pauli Christmas market is located right on Spielbudenplatz square at Hamburg's St. Pauli district. Grab tram lines S1 or S3 to Reeperbahn, or subway U3 to St. Pauli to get to the attraction. Furthermore, buses 36/37 take you to Davidstraße.
By car
It is of course possible to come by car, however, there is no parking available on Reeperbahn. Car parks in the surrounding area are Reeperbahngaragen, Parkgarage Millerntor as well as Tiefgarage Tanzende Türme. From motorways A1 and A24 (exit Hamburg-Horn) you go towards St. Pauli/Reeperbahn. Spielbudenplatz square is hard to miss. From motorway A7 you go over Elbtunnel (exit Othmarschen), also going towards St. Pauli/Reeperbahn.
