Route description
The hike starts in Eslar, from where you walk to Ödmeiersrieth and via Premhof into the forest. At the junction, follow trail number 24. You will come across signs pointing to the viewing tower. To get there, you have to master a steep ascent. Afterwards, climb the 144 stairs, and get rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view over Upper Palatine and Czech Republic.
To go back, walk downhill, along a disused ski lift, until you get to the game enclosure. The park here features play grounds for children. Conginue on the way back to Eslarn.

Getting here
Follow motorway A93 to the intersection Oberpfälzer Wald. Keep right and follow motorway A6 towards Prag/Waidhaus/Tschechien. Leave the motorway at exit Waidhaus, and follow St2154 to Eslarn.
